Music

Postby lionsnzebras » January 12th, 2015, 8:50 am

Just a thread about music, may be TTITD oriented or not.

Workout music tends to be more hardcore:
Ramstien
Disturbed
Alter Bridge
Amaranthe
Five Finger Death Punch
Godsmack
Manson
Mudvane

At work:
using shout cast either on my phone or computer
charthits.fm for that TTITD type music
181.fm old school hip hop, I tend to listen to this a lot
181.fm rock 181 (alternative)
181.fm classic hits (cream, speedwagon, zeplin, floyd, etc) Also listen to this a lot

90s dance is always a hit:
In the jeep on satellite
utopia
backspin
classic vinal
there is another rock one I cant remember

Might figure out a satalite option for TTITD, love the 90s dance, takes me back to my happy place, and thats a good thing.

There's only one radio station for TFTITD:

Bring what you like! Its burning man!

On that note, you can listen to all that stuff the other 357 days of the year. BMIR all the way for me! Its strangely wonderful when it doesnt suck.

That's what I meant.

I brought satellite radio and I had playlists downloaded, but like a lot of people have suggested on different boards. There is so much that should be going on, you really should enjoy what's out there for the week.

Last year, I would go inside my trailer and pre-flight to what I wanted to hear to get myself in the mood to go out and party, but playing it for others to enjoy likely won't be appreciated.

BTW, I love Disturbed and Godsmack, but I've also become a huge EDM fan (thanks to TFTITD). Skrillx, Diplo, Martin Garrix, etc.

I blame it on Wench. She corrupted Kowtow! He's the victim here!

Probably not. But you know me!

Three more Pretty Lights songs and now onto...
Modern English - Melt with Me
Leo Sayer - You Make me feel like Dancing
The Head and the Heart - Josh McBride
Johnny Cleg and Savuka - Cruel Crazy Beautiful World

After that I'll start to mellow out with
George Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue
Rush - La Villa Strangiato

There's more, but I have to get SOME work done. ;-)

This could be a candidate for 2015. But its a bit dark. I really love the saxophone supporting the verse.

Lionz workout music set sounds perfect. I can listen to anything except country music. After a week of non-stop EDM though, I am SOOO ready to blast Disturbed and Rammstein in my truck on the way home.

BTW, did you know that if you play a country song backwards, it has a happy ending? You get your wife back, you get your dog back, and your truck runs perfectly.

One of the 20-something managers (Veronica) at the brewpub I frequent (been there 21 days this month...) changed the radio station from classic rock to something more, well, progressive.

She walked by the bar and asked us if we liked the music. Brian (the head brewer) who was sitting next to me said "This isn't music."
I replied, "This is Pretty Lights. They're great." all three of the guys sitting at the bar looked at me, quizzically and Veronica stood there with her mouth open. when she recovered, she said, "I underestimated you Chuck." Rubbed my back for a few seconds and walked away.

Impressing young ladies with my knowledge of EDM. Priceless.

Fuck ya brother!

You gave her something she couldn't wrap her arms around at first. You didn't try to "relate" by saying something like "That's pretty dope," or "Man, that's solid."

Nope you gave her a response that transcends time and only a response that a Burner could immediately relate to.

"Right on!"

This weekend while sewing and mending playa items. I'm building my traveling soundtrack.

18 hours (each way) of driving requires decent music.
Or murderous tendencies will likely occur.

I wish I had traveling Wi-Fi. But my iPod will have to suffice. 16gb is not a lot of space for musics.

Must plan well :-)
