A Martini is a specific drink. It contains Gin or Vodka and dry white vermouth. It may contain olive brine as well, but then it is a Dirty Martini.
A drink served in a Martini glass is not automatically a Martini! It's a fucking cocktail!
The traditional glass for serving a Margarita is the Martini glass. You don't see ANYBODY calling it a Mexican Martini.

A chocolate "martini" is a chocolate cocktail served in a Martini glass.

A Martini is a Martini if you serve it in a red plastic cup

Unfortunately if martini steve makes his chocolate fuckin' drink and puts it in those stainless cone shaped glasses and another guy makes a variation on that drink and has a contest at the M&G and everyone called it a "chocolate martini contest." I have no other idea's on how to represent that here so other's who were at the M&G know wtf I'm talking about.

I do believe a Martini can have a drop or two of bitters as well. just sayin...

Why is it all martini drinkers have such a big ass chip on their shoulders. We've got an asshole at work who carries his martini recipe on business cards that he hands out at the bar and get's pissed when they don't make it right. It's fuckin' booze, alcohol, fire water, drink it and move on.

If you make a Martini with Whiskey, Vermouth and bitters, garnish with citrus (I prefer orange peel) and pour into a Martini glass and you have a Manhattan.

A Lemon drop, like the Manhattan, doesn't pretend to be a Martini.

I'm terrible at drinking. Like 2 and I'm done. I had like 6 margaritas once in the Stratosphere in Vegas....I don't remember much else. lol.

Caesars are my summer go-to. My favorite is a REFRESH which is a full lemon's worth of fresh juice, sprig of mint, clamato and lemon vodka

oh and Tequila.

THAT'S something I wanna do while in the USA, is find a really nice Anejo or Resposado. NICE, not $$$$$. We're pretty limited in Canada, due to import fees, monster taxes and the liquor board being dicks about what can be imported in quantity.

I hate paying 50$ a bottle to try something fucking terrible.

OMG I bet there's a restaurant along the way that does Tequila flights..... (just talking mostly to myself at this point)

Believe it or not, Costco has a really nice Anejo. At under $20 a litre the price doesn't suck either.

That price is here in Delaware, there's no sales tax, so the prices might be a bit higher out west.
