There will need to be a method for "carding" individuals. It sounds shitty, but Leo could very well send in an underage plant and ruin a burn with a bust.

Just ask for ID, its required anyway on the playa I think. (some people have no where to put said ID hehe)

but all you have to do is ask, no ID, no drink. I think thats fairly acceptable.

I'm thinking a sign, ID or BJ or no service. I doubt a cop would go to those lengths for a bust!

What if its a girl serving the sour drinks though? They dont do BJs so to speak.
Also have to run this by zebra to make sure that ID checking methods dont go to waste.

They could always be directed to the designated receiver.

Depending on popularity, there will have to be a few "recievers" to check said "ID"

I think for our first burn, it might be a good idea to keep this drink private.

Not that I dislike the idea of being the ID checker......

It sounds like a delicious drink. We should keep it private, but if it's really as good as it sounds then maybe we can find some special clients to share it with.

Let me work on a recipe.
Can I get "sour puss" at a liquor store in the USA?

Dark rum and diet coke might be our drink of choice, whos to say. not big drinkers at the best of times.

I'm not sure. I couldn't find it in a liquor store search for Oregon online.

Hmmm....Liquor is terribly taxed here, I was going to get everything there, but if we cant find it, I will bring a couple bottles with me.
I dont know what the rule is taking alcohol over the border, but we can figure that part out easily enough.

So I did a whack of googling and apparently its not that popular there so they dont sell much of it and its a tad bit harder to find.
They were talking about "De Kuyper" which I have to look up.

Let's think about this a little more... I'm a cheap drunk, so I'm the guy pushing for booze subsidies so we can all for free.

Maybe you can buy the necessities there and then I can get the other boozes that are available down here cheaper. Another thing people do is buy it going through California, or when someone travels to Cali. You can buy it in the supermarkets there and it's WAY cheaper. Oregon isn't bad, but still taxed. Washington privatized it, but the state then taxed the hell out of it, making it cost more than when the state controlled it.

Texas has cheap booze too. Especially locally, where most of the citizenry is of the neck-down/blue-collar/pull-my-finger variety. (The powers that be learned long ago to make sure these bozos have a controlled release from their little lives, and that release is cheap booze, rodeos, and BBQ cookoffs. Whoo hoo!!!!)

Buy your booze in California or Nevada, you can buy it in grocery stores (24 hours in Nevada). There are 24 hour grocery stores in Reno/Sparks, I don't know about Fernley.

You do not need to ID people at Burning Man, but it is becoming more common.

However, to be covered you do need to ask everyone if they are 21 or older and legal to drink in Nevada. It is illegal to lie to get alcohol in Nevada.

But asking for ID is a fine idea also.

Thanks Steve that sounds like a reasonable thing to ask people. Now, what's the age of consent in Nevada?

Before he broke his 3D printer, Chuck was going to make a stamp for me - the Fish out of Water Camp logo.
I can probably have a regular rubber stamp made with the same design. We could stamp body parts to show that the bearer of the stamp is allowed to drank that beverage of choice...
And finding an appropriate place to stamp could be great fun too. :)

Its an old idea - stamping. But the logo is original enough that it won't be duplicated elsewhere. So we will know fo' sho'...
