Took my truck in for service yesterday. Oil change, tire rotation, pressures and levels checked. The mechanic said I'm good to go to TTITD! He said I need to bring it back in for tie rod ends and ball joints and front end alignment when I get back though. No excuses!

My mechanic took one look at the bus and said I needed a Prius instead.

The van is in the shop as we speak...just for the pre trip check up. Got the call and everything looks good...all I need is an oil change and I will be ready to hit the road.
I can't remember EVER taking it in for a check up when they didn't find SOMETHING that needed attention.
Hard to believe we are about 5 weeks out....

And July is 2/3 over already!!!
It's like Christmas...I know all year it's gonna be in December...but it continues to sneak up on me... I'm down to the 'must do' vs 'want to do' and having to re prioritize the list.

Took Johnson out for a roll today. I had ordered the new tires yesterday, but they wont be available for installation until Monday morning so I had itchy feet.

I ended up doing about 60 miles in 95 degree/80% humidity. He performed flawlessly. No noises, smells, or vibrations. Yay!!!!!

Stats: 2500 rpm at 10 psi of boost gets you 100 hp and 55 mph. I averaged 8.8 mpg. Peak boost was 17 psi.

For the first time I'm starting to have some confidence in this bus...

I'm a lot more stoked than I was, now that I've defected to what's gonna be a FUN camp!

What camp did you defect from CGD? Too many Drama Lamas roaming?

I've been approached by three separate camps so far, (including FOOW). Still staying Solo this birgin year. Maybe join a camp next year, or start my own. Hopefully I will come up with unique theme ideas after observing things this year. Easier said than done I'm sure. 8-)

On a side note I ran some numbers on expenditures for BM. Shouldn't have done that!! LOL
Good thing the days are counting down, my funds are on [Empty]. Fortunately, all I have left is food and liquor.

If Vyn is taking orders, I need a Playatech Pew. It's one of the items on my 'If I get time and have money' list......

Along with:
The rocker chair at the bottom of this pic. With the coktail.....

Spot light for camp flag.
New window in the RMC door.
Sex swing in the RMC......

Yep, I'm defecting to escape the llama, I'll keep it under my hat where that was so as not to poke the fire.
I'd rather be here anyway, it's not a "last resort" move at all. I'm 100% self contained, I don't need to be in any camp. I just think this will be the best fit, the most fun, and I know Charlie already likes everyone.
But the main thing I'm sayin' right now, never, never ever ever accurately add up the costs associated with going to Burning Man!
You'll end up flying to Hawaii instead.

We're ridiculously awesome. Busy, always laughing, always trading stories. It really is a pretty magical space. So don't be a stranger!
