Chuck zinged me good.

I left him my impact last year since they were staying a bit longer. When Chuck shipped it back, he carefully wrapped and boxed it up. It arrived unannounced, so I eagerly opened at my desk at work. The impact had been packed with about a quart of sawdust. Boom! It went everywhere!

Whatcha bet he makes me do-over...

I'm getting that cognitive dissonance that comes from being really excited combined with depression becuz so many of my ideas never bore fruit... So little time...

Since I'm a nice guy for a devilish bastard, I carefully wrapped the impact wrench in a dust resistant grain bag. Then I placed it in the box. All of this happened in the shanty, where all of my woodworking gear is. Sooo... I opened the door on my table saw and pulled out several large handfuls of sawdust, which I lovingly added to the package.

"...Duuuude! You totally MOOPed on my desk, man!!!..."

Just wait until you start brewing on the large scale. Chuck will come in some morning to check on the progress of a stout and it will come out like syrup. No note, but there will be a suspiciously empty 50 lb bag of corn starch tacked to the wall.

When I received my walking stick I could sense it was not alone in the tube it was shipped in. when inverted, it sounded like a rain-stick as the glitter tumbled from one end to the other.

I opened it in strict inside-out white-room conditions. I was hermetically sealed in a painter's bunny suit, with rubber gloves and shoe covers. I then CAREFULLY opened the top, filled the tube with water, inverted the tube into the grass in a disused corner of the back yard (Well, disused by humans, the neighbor's dog spends a lot of time back there  ) poured the stick out and gave it the hose. I then wiped it down with two rags soaked in olive oil the first to get the bulk off and the second to get the last off.

Never had a glitter problem. My neighbors though? Who knows, but I'm betting Yes.

Two new deep-cycle batteries went into the Land Yacht today. Starting battery is OK,leaving that alone.

Edit: that makes it sound so easy... actually I've been up late working on stuff every night and I'm about to die but most of it is boring details.

This pretty well says it all, and I'm in the same boat. (Ohhh. I made a pun.'hehehe)

BRC will be a slice compared to the lead-up and transport efforts!

Thursday report: I came home from work and went straight to bed.
This weekend I Intend to get the Yacht loaded into the trailer (that's a bit of an effort) and pretty much start loading up to go.
Also on the list: gotta cut the truck exhaust and re-route to clear the camper lift, weld the camper brackets to the truck frame, change out the camper sink faucet, and if there's still time work on making the exhaust brake function, even if full-manual without the fancy control unit. Whatever gets us down the hills.

Friday night: the brackets got attached to the truck frame for the camper lift and the exhaust got re-routed. It doesn't sound like much...

Today's goal - to move the bus from the driveway to the front yard, and sort out the shade structure. We took delivery of the parts to extend the 20x20 to 20x40. Now to set it up, check contact and tie-ons with the bus.
If we get really ambitious we'll set up the kitchen and furniture too...
Photos later...

That big wad of rain off the coast of Louisiana is supposed to pivot and head this way! Buckle up, buttercup!
