The Land Yacht

Postby Captain Goddammit » August 2nd, 2016, 2:08 pm

Since I got invited to be part of Fresh Out Of Vodka, or whatever this joint is called, I figured I'd introduce everyone to the Land Yacht.
I'll be trailering this big heavy thing from Seattle.
The Land Yacht is a 26 foot cabin cruiser mutant vehicle. It's all custom built. There's no car or truck chassis under it.
It drives like a boat, it's got rear steering (as a boat with a rudder) and it tends to rock a bit.
It's got a nice interior with a big comfy red velour couch, a wide open rear cockpit plus you can ride on the forward deck. There's a large cooler chest, Keurig k-cup coffeemaker for sunrises and cold nights and it's got a moderately loud sound system. It does have somma' that bass. Plus bullhorn.
It's luxury playa cruising!
You drive out front, and it's got completely unobstructed visibility for the driver. It's very maneuverable, capable of very tight turns.
It's easy to drive and it runs quiet.
It has no generator, all electricity comes from its onboard system with multiple alternators powering multiple batteries, which supply a 2000-watt pure sine wave inverter.
Passenger capacity is about 10 to 12 depending on whether most of them have been eating pie or rice cakes.
Since the driver is out on the forward deck, it's full-legal for onboard booze, the booze just needs to remain in the main cabin or rear deck.

Great shots! But where is the infamous cockpit-mounted Rainbow vacuum?

One of my favorite memories from last year is getting to ride around in the Land Yacht all afternoon....even in the dust storms, it was great fun!

My favorite Land Yacht story is how I met the Captain. I was out walking with someone, Lost maybe, when I saw what could only be the Land Yacht. I shouted "GOD DAMNIT!" at the top of my lungs and it stopped instantly. That's when I was certain it was the Land Yacht. We hopped aboard and went for a cruise to parts unknown.

Well I knew where we were when we were there, but I couldn't tell you now!

I just realized the Land Yacht is the perfect platform to watch the man burn. Saturday is also my birthday! Can I reserve a seat in the Yacht for the burn?
